Happy Friday!! TGIF!!
Well, today is a very dreary day, but its perfect for some Memory Planning, don't ya think?
I wanted to share my new way of scrapbooking that maybe you might like. I always liked the idea of Project Life but never found the time to stay with it.
Well, I think I've finally found it! The Me & My Big Ideas (MAMBI) Happy Planner (Create 365) is a joy to me.
I used to always journal in a regular dollar store monthly planner to write down things our family did and things my kids said to remember them. I have them filed in file boxes for future days to look back on.
Now, this gives me a combination of Planning meets Scrapbooking and you get the HAPPY PLANNER aka Memory Planning!
I think something else I loved was I didn't need a ton of supplies, in fact, I could use up my old stash. I got to use ephemera, stickers, 3x4 and 4x6 cards, etc. It's so much fun!
Let me share what I did on my pages...
Not everyday had something I needed to journal, so this is where the scrapbooking style came in perfectly. On the top left, I fussy cut a mason jar out of a 3x4 card and taped it to a cut 3x4 card that had a woodgrain. Then I added our NEW! mini alpha stickers from our sticker shop (TheEverydayPlanner.etsy.com) to spell out HAPPY BIRTHDAY and listed our family birthdays. I added a balloon icon sticker from our October monthly planner kit and it just went perfect with the color scheme. All the scrapbooking items are from Simple Stories, I believe.
Below that is a cut 3x4 card and I added the word SHOP using our regular ALPHA stickers in our shop and used a shopping cart sticker. FUN!!
I thought Chip n' Dale needed to make an appearance and I got those from Pretty Sheepy Etsy Shop... just tell Lynn I said "hi"... she's super sweet and has a ton of Disney stickers.
I added the weather temps (hi and lo) on the teardrop stickers and the mini weather stickers in kawaii style (cute faces). The half boxes are great for journaling and the whole boxes are too for more journaling and they are stickers from the "Nuts" Sampler Sticker Kit. I loved using the leaves to give texture but not too much bulk.
For the right side page...
This is where it got REALLY FUN!!!!!!!! Do you see it?? PHOTO STICKERS!!!!!!!! Okay I'd love to have a Instax but I can't afford it so I did the next best thing! I printed my photos onto glossy sticker paper at 3" x 2". I choose the glossy to give it the weather resistance protection. I'm sure you can find photo sticker paper. I want to see if my Canon Selphy has some I can use in my printer.
We had rented three redbox movies so I added those in there and we had a date night because our kids spent the night with my brother and sister (inlaw), so it was our night alone! Saturday we went to Olive Garden for the first time in over 8 years.. my hubby won a Darden gift card from a vendor at work!! God provides always!
I added the weekend sticker banner from our "Nuts" Sampler Kit, the weather and teardrops too. We had a little medical scare on Sunday night so I cut a half box into 1/4 size and added it, plus the medical sticker. The adorable pancakes sticker is from Plan With Kayla on Etsy, she's sweet!
Well, I hope you enjoyed this. I am going to be sharing these weekly if you'd like.
I will be revamping this website to coincide with our Etsy shop - The Everyday Planner blog at www.theeverydayplanner.com. This one will be a sister blog for our scrapbooking still and printables etsy shop - Pretty Planner Prints (formerly jenwrightdesigns.etsy.com) - PrettyPlannerPrints.etsy.com.
I will be moving something OUT of that printable shop and adding all new planner printable goodies, more craft project tutorials and planner tutorials, etc! I'm super excited.
I'd love to hear what you are doing for memory planning... share with me below and don't forget to share this with your friends by just clicking the social media share buttons.
See ya Monday for Make-it Monday!!!!!!
